Delete your Compass account
You can delete your account in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app.
In the app
- Open Compass and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
Your account is deleted on our server straight away, and Compass deletes everything it keeps on your phone. Your alarms stop.
By email
Write to admin@alanview.com from the email address you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. We'll delete it within 30 days and write back when it's done. Then uninstall Compass, or clear its storage in Android's app settings, to remove what it keeps on your phone.
What gets deleted
- Your account: your email address, name, profile picture link and Google account link.
- On your phone: your settings, alarms, goals, calendar connection, saved events, and what your alarm says recorded in your voice.
- Your Google Calendar connection. Compass asks Google to revoke its access.
What's kept, and for how long
- Transcripts of your wake-up calls at ElevenLabs, our voice provider, are deleted automatically 30 days after each call.
- Counts of how many calls you started each day expire within two days.
- A marker that your account was deleted, holding only its user ID, is kept for 30 days so any sign-in still saved on a phone stops working.
- Our hosting provider's server logs, which can include IP addresses and user IDs, expire on their normal schedule.
